Let vinegar and yogurt do the trick
Vinegar helps to lighten and heal the dark flaky skin of elbows and knees. Yogurt has acids which are good for the skin and help in getting rid of the darkened appearance of the skin. Mix these two ingredients together and apply on elbows and knees. Keep for 20 minutes before washing off. Do this daily.
Aloe vera gel is the key to radiance
Aloe vera gel helps moisturize the dry and dark elbows and knees. It makes them soft and gives them a radiant appearance. Just take an aloe vera leaf and extract aloe vera gel from it to apply on elbows and knees. You can leave it on or wash after 2-3 hours. Use the gel daily.
Massage lavishly with coconut and olive oil
Both olive oil and coconut oil are nourishing for the skin and aid in skin lightening. Religiously apply the two nutrient enriched oils together on your elbows and knees every day twice. You will soon begin to notice the difference.
Lemon juice is the boss of skin lightening
Natural skin lightening cannot be talked about without mentioning the name of lemon. Lemon has vitamin C and antioxidants that bleach the skin to a lighter color. Use lemon juice on your elbows and knees and keep for 20 minutes before washing off every other day for several weeks and you’ll get beautiful light colored elbows and knees. Later, moisturize!
Oatmeal scrub is our new favourite exfoliator
Oatmeal is much more than being a healthy breakfast. It is a great scrub for your skin and gets rid of the dead skin cells to reveal the healthy layer of skin underneath. Mix oatmeal with milk cream to prepare an exfoliator and exfoliate for 10 minutes. Do this 3-4 times a week.
Fruit juices, for the win!
Fruits like grapes, tomatoes and oranges have bleaching properties on your skin. Applying the juice of these fruits makes your skin lighter, thus aiding in body and skin care. Mix the juices of these fruits together and apply on your elbows and knees and keep for 15 minutes. Wash off. Use this method on a regular basis.
